Are you ready to reclaim your authentic power from the inside out? When?

How about now?

Stephanie Blackburn Freeth

Hi, I'm Stephanie,

Founder of Stephanie Freeth Coaching

My Story

I coach leaders ready to turn on their authentic creative power from the inside out. I am a ravenous lifelong learner who draws from a wide range of expertise and experiences, including conscious leadership and the Enneagram, as well as body-based, spirit-enlivening practices. The leaders and teams I support with coaching develop high self-awareness and authenticity, learn to practice radical candor, and get more done easefully. I am an intuitive guide who brings energy and creativity to hold the space for deep and lasting transformation in individual and group settings. I'm also a keen listener and observer who tunes in to subtle patterns and reflects what I see and hear back to my clients.

I own Stephanie Freeth Coaching, a consulting and coaching firm providing bold experiential support to leaders and teams which was founded in 2014 as Adaptive Alternatives LLC. I bring 25 years of experience in leadership development, strategic planning, revenue generation and fundraising, marketing, organizational culture, and personal development. I have worked with leaders and companies across industries including technology start-ups, manufacturing, non-profits, higher and secondary education, arts and culture, social services, entertainment, and philanthropy.

I have an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and an undergraduate degree in English from Princeton University. I am a certified 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership coach, training and working with Jim Dethmer and Diana Chapman, co-founders of The Conscious Leadership Group and authors of The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership. I am an iEQ9 Integrative Enneagram Accredited Practitioner through Integrative Enneagram Solutions, and I have taken the foundation courses with The Narrative Enneagram.

I am an alumna of Leadership Detroit XXXIII and co-facilitated the Leadership Development program for Leadership Detroit from 2016-2022. I teach Leadership Development courses based on conscious leadership and the Enneagram as an Adjunct Faculty member at Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona.

Body-based movement, sound, and creativity experiences and practices have been integral to my journey:

  • I was a ballerina from the age of 9 and studied with the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet summer programs in high school.
  • I was a dancer and Co-Director of Expressions Dance Company at Princeton.
  • I was the Choreography Director for the student-run production of Special K while getting my MBA at the Kellogg School of Management.
  • In 2014, I started my meditation practice through an MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) training based on Jon Kabat-Zinn's work.
  • In 2021, I completed The Embody Lab’s Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certificate Program.
  • In 2023, I became a Sonic Anatomy Guide through Sing the Body Electric, based on the work of Isaac and Thorald Koren and Eileen McKusick.
  • In 2024, I became accredited with YOGABODY breathwork.
  • In 2023-24, I went on a Songwriter’s Journey with The Brothers Koren to write and record an album with 7 original songs. My debut album is titled, "Learning to Love the Break."

Throughout my life, I lived in Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Illinois, and now call Ann Arbor, Michigan, home. My husband and I can often be found on the field hockey, basketball, lacrosse, and soccer sidelines, cheering for our two teenagers.
